WE MOVED..

LockCitySports.com

WORLD SERIES GAME 1 PICK

If it wasn't for betting I would have no interested whatsoever in this series. I love baseball, don't get me wrong, but I just don't give two fucks about either team. No story lines. No rivalry. Two pretty average teams. I think the ratings for Modern Family are going to crush the ratings for tonights game. Either way, gotta bet this game because its an easy one.

Before I jump into my pick, I just need to say that the home-field advantage rule is the dumbest fucking rule in the history of rules. Almost as dumb as not being allowed to pee in public (we will save that argument for another day).

Its going to be 48 degrees, gusting winds, and a 30% chance of rain tonight, all I can say is that the only pick that would make sense would be the Cardinals at home tonight. More times than not I think you have to go with the home team in this series.

Everyone is talking about how nasty the Rangers lineup is, and its true, it is very very good. But Carpenter is an absolute stud that has been proving critics wrong every time he pitches in this postseason. The place will be electric tonight, with everyone pulling beyond their ace to get ahead in this series 1-0.

CJ Wilson, being a lefty, should get absolutely TORCHED by King Pujols, Holliday, and Berkman. But especially Pujols. The guy has been en fuego the past couple of weeks and I fully expect for him to keep this going. The spread tonight is Cards -1.5, and I think its safe enough to lay the points and take the +165 odds in doing so.

CARDINALS -1.5, +165

*By the way, Cardinals in 6. Boom, done.

NHL PICKS 10/18

Thats right. Lock City ain't just about football and baseball. Definitely about to crush some hockey spreads here, adding validity to the claim that I am an absolute degenerate. Do I know anything about hockey? Eh, a little. You could say I was one of top 5 in the country at Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey for N64. Remember that shit?

I was UNSTOPPABLE with the Sabres. Matthew Barnaby was absurd.

Anyway, last year I actually did surprisingly well whenever I did bet on hockey, lets keep the good fortune coming. The good thing is that unlike baseball or football, I keep my emotions out of betting hockey and stick mostly to betting trends and whatnot. Safe picks. Safety first when it comes to hockey.

1) Florida Panthers at Washington Capitals -1.5

First off, I've been following hockey (loosely) for about 34 years and I just learned that Florida has a hockey team. On the other hand, the Caps are absolutely disgusting year in and year out and quite frankly this is their year to drop the hammer on the rest of the league. They always go into the season as one of the favorites yet somehow find a way to throw the season away. But as of right now they are off to a FIRE start. 4-0 straight up and even better, 4-0 against the spread. Now, Florida is actually 3-1 ATS to start this season off so I think the smart pick would just be to take the Caps moneyline, which is currently at -230. If you lay the 1.5 goals, the odds are +140. Your call. Either way, Caps gotta be a lock here. Ovy is just dripping with swag, he ain't letting this one go down as a loss.

CAPITALS -1.5 (+144); ML -230

2) Dallas Stars -1.5 at Columbus Bluejackets

What the fuck is a bluejacket? No I'm serious. I get that a yellow jacket is a bumblebee. A green jacket is for the winner of the Masters. But what the fuck is a bluejacket? Based on the confusion of team name, gotta side with the Stars on this one. Like I said earlier, I don't just bet hockey on a whim. Gotta do some research here, and this is what my research has told me. Dallas is 4-1 ATS, Columbus is 0-5 ATS. Baaahahahahaha. This is going to be a fantastic winter. Is it always going to be this easy? I'd lay the points here, fuck moneyline.

DALLAS -1.5 (+250)

***Just googled bluejacket, turns out it was the name of some badass Indian chief or some shit. Thats actually pretty cool, I take back everything I said.***

Actually I take back that I take back everything I said. This dude looks like a pussy. Sweet nose-ring.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 6

Overall, not a great NFL sunday for Lock City Sports. Really gotta blame that Niners-Lions game in which for a while it looked like the over and Lions would both hit. Then it looked like just the Lions would hit. Then a couple suspect calls by the officials later, and neither hit. SICK! I think I might be the only bastard out there that was more pissed off than Jim Schwartz was after that handshake from Harbaugh. Looks like Harbaugh has a bad case of "little-brother-syndrome." Alright alright I'll stop being bitter. The 49ers really impressed me and its obvious that I just have not been giving them enough credit this year. That defense is damn good, and its not easy to beat a hot team on the road like they did yesterday.

But today is a new god damn day. Dolphins-Jets Monday Night Football is an awesome matchup. Regardless of how shitty either team is on any given year, these games are usually pretty close. Usually they really are. This year might be different though.

Before yesterday there were three teams that absolutely NEEDED a win or their season was virtually over. Those three teams were the Eagles, Falcons, and Jets. Eagles won and covered. Falcons won and covered. My gut tells me the Jets will win and cover too. I'm a Jets fan, so I can't ignore if there is some bias in this pick, but even if I was a Giants fan I would pick the Jets in this one. Here are my reasons:

1. As stated earlier, Jets absolutely positively need a crushing win this week, not just a 13-10 win, but a blowout win, or else you can kiss this season good-bye. As Philly and Atlanta showed us yesterday, a sense of urgency should kick in tonight for the team that needs it the most.

2. Matt Moore is making his first start for Miami and has to do so on Monday Night Football on the road in the Meadowlands. Hows that gonna work out? This is the same guy that got benched for Jimmy Clausen. He is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Ooohhh right it was a "shoulder injury" aka he had a rotting vagina that was stinking up the entire offense for Carolina. Plus, he doesn't have any good receivers to bail him out either. With Marshall dicking around all night on Revis Island, I'm not sure how he is going to be able to get his team in any legitimate rhythm on offense.

3. Daniel Thomas is not guaranteed to go tonight. He has that hamstring injury that has been bothering him all week, and quite frankly, he is the only bright spot on this whole team. I'll admit, the Jets run defense has been uncharacteristically awful this year but that should not be an issue tonight. They have been so worried about stopping the potent passing game in New England that they just exploited it and ran all over them. On top of that, Oakland might have the best running back tandem in all of the NFL, thus inflating the Jets' run D statistics. This won't be an issue today, especially with a banged up Daniel Thomas. If Reggie Bush has to take the majority of the carries, this game will be over fast.

I see you Jenn..

NFL LOCKS WEEK 6

Ugh. Last week was NOT a good week for the NFL. Going 4-4 is not good. If you saying, "Yo .500% isn't that bad man," get out.  Close your browser.  Open your window.  Jump out.  We are going to fuck this weekend right in the pussy, and CRUSH these spreads.

1. San Francisco at Detroit -4.5; and OVER 46.5

I honestly think San Francisco is the most overrated team in the NFL. I really do. If they prove me wrong this weekend then hey, good for them. But they won't. They just don't have the weapons. I guess their defense is pretty good. And Harbaugh has worked Alex Smith out from the grave. So they have that going for them. Oh and Gore is nasty, no argument from me there.

But lets be serious. Detroit is on a whole different level right now. As solid as the Niners defense has played this year, there is no way they are going to control all the weapons on offense. The San Fran D has been killing it stopping the run this year, but quite frankly, that shouldn't be a huge factor since that isn't necessarily Detroit's game. They use all their weapons and throw the ball to everyone, especially Megatron (who the fuck is going to cover him?). As awesome as Alex Smith has appeared this season (7 TD, 1 INT), that pass rush by Suh and Fairley is going to fuck his shit up. We will be seing Troy Smith by the second half. Gotta be tough to play QB against the Lions this year, and despite his recent successes, Alex Smith just ain't tough enough.

These teams score a shit-fuck-ton of points so we are hammering the over also. Both of these teams have covered the over 80% of the season so far. Thats a combined 8-2. Gotta go with the over, no doubt.

LIONS -4.5

OVER 46.5

2. New Orleans -5 at Tampa Bay

You know, a month ago I would have picked Tampa straight up with an upset pick at home. Unfortunately, this league thrives on momentum, and right now that is all in the Saint's favor. They have been a quiet 4-1, having only lost to Green Bay first game of the year. Tampa has confused me. Are they good or do they suck? They get crushed last week to the 49ers, who, like I said in the post above, have NO business beating ANYONE 48-3. Like, cmon. And then you expect to fix everything at home against Drew Brees and the Saints? I don't. I really don't. In addition, Blount is most likely not playing with his injury which means strike 2 and 3 for the Bucs. Saints will come out here with a 2 touchdown victory on Sunday.

SAINTS -5

3. Indianapolis at Cincinnati O/U 40.5

The spread is Colts +7 and ehhh, I don't love it. The over/under caught my attention though at 40.5. Every week Vegas puts the o/u on Colts games and Bengals games SO low and week in and week out, those teams absolutely crush them. This week will be the same. Despite the idea that the Colts and Bengals suck and can't score, they both actually have covered the over in 80% of their games thus far. Psh, thats good enough for me. I'll take that shit at 40.5 all day. Love this pick, love all my picks really. This is going to be a fantastic weekend.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKS 10/15

Happy Thursday gypsies!

LockCitySports.com is finally getting its first pube with this post (site will be finished by end of day). I don’t know what it is, but after a horrific 1-4 start during the first week of college football, I’ve gone 17-4-1, which even I’m impressed with. But I don’t splurge on every game. No. Gotta bet smart, and while their are some games that look sexy as hell to bet, don’t do it. I only bet games that I know the outcome before it even happens. Miss Cleo status. Got three absolute locks going for this Saturday:

1. Georgia Tech -8 at Virginia

First off I shouldn’t have to tell you why this is a lock. But I’ll do it anyway. Georgia Tech literally has the most explosive offense in college football. They put up more points than an Asian woman on her drivers license. It’s really going to come down to who gets the most consistant play from the QB position. GTech’s QB has 10 Td and 2 ints. Virginias has 2 Td and 7 ints. Thats a joke. You have to be a whole different brand of loser to go 2-7 as a college QB. Most importantly (at least to some of you) GTech is 4-1-1 ATS this year and Virginia is 1-4. I really think 8 points is ridiculous and I would take Georgia Tech if the spread was -16.5. Lay the points and collect that paper.

GEORGIA TECH -8

2. Florida -1.5 at Auburn

I know that Auburn is #23 in the country and at home and getting points and Floridas QB is hurt and blah blah blah. Don’t care. Florida is a much better team at almost every single position. But most importantly, they CRUSH Auburn when it comes down to speed. Rainey and Demps are the two fastest runners in the country and are going to be the difference makers in this one. Brantley is still out for Florida which sucks but at the end of the day, I really can see Brissett having a really big game on the road this week. He faces Alabama and LSU back to back weeks and got rocked. Would have happened to anyone. Those are 2 NFL defenses. Auburn’s D isn’t even CLOSE in talent level as those two previous defenses are. Having said that, Brissett could really elevate his game against this defense, considering all he has seen so far are the 2 best to get him ready for this week. Auburn is 2-4 ATS this year while Florida is 4-2.

FLORIDA -1.5

3. Clemson -7.5 at Maryland

Hate to do it. Hate to. Especially since I will be at this game to cheer on the Terps at homecoming, but sorry guys. Clemson is going to demolish Maryland. For hours I’ve been thinking about how Maryland will be able to stop Clemson. Hours. Can’t think of one legit way that the shaky D of Maryland, that gave up 4,o00 points to TEMPLE, will be able to stop one of those most explosive offenses in college football. Not to mention WR Sammy Watkins has looked like a top 3 pick in the upcoming draft thus far. Maryland fans might argue, “We have Danny O’Brien! He is going to light it up!” Ok well lets compare quarterbacks this year. Danny O’ has 4 TD, 6 INT, 930 yards. Eh. On the other hand, Tajh Boyd has 15 TD, 2 INT, 1742 yards. There goes THAT argument. “But it’s Maryland homecoming! The fans will be amped for this one!” Uhh, not really. For sure not. If there is one thing that Maryland is not, its intimidating. Not a hard place to play at all. Fans are barely into it, and most of them are just freshman that live in dorms adjacent to the stadium. Also I read that theres a chance it might rain. If that is the case then forget about it. Stadium will be at 50% capacity. Maybe. I can’t see Maryland losing by less than 2 touchdowns on Saturday. Sorry. If you go to the game on Saturday, find me, I’ll be the guy decked out in Maryland gear rooting for Clemson. I’m an asshole I know.

CLEMSON -7.5

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 5

Like I said earlier, this has been a weird week. Outrageously bizzarre. Tampa Bay loses by 45 points to San Fran. The Giants lose at home to the fucking Seahawks. The Saints barely squeak out a win against the Panthers. Eagles get embarrassed by the Bills. Raiders beat the seemingly unstoppable Texans in Houston. Shits just been weird. And tonight we have Bears +6 at Lions.

I really believe this is the game that is going to save my sanity. I really do. Seems like one of those games where the Lions will be unstoppable and Suh and company on defense will sack Cutler around 14,811 times tonight. I genuinely believe the Lions will win and win big here tonight.

Here are a couple reasons why:

1. This is the first Monday Night Football game in Detroit since 2001. That is an ABSURD statistic. Barry Sanders is doing the intro tonight, I just feel like the Motor City will be rockin' and the crowd will make it very very difficult for the Bears to get anything going tonight.

2. The Bears are 1-3 Against The Spread this year.

3. The Lions are 3-0-1 ATS this year.

4. Last week the Bears gave up 543 yards to the Panthers, clearly their defense has been incredibly inconsistant and I see no way they will get it straightened out on the road against arguably the most dynamic offense in the NFL.

5. Bears average giving up 301 passing yards a game, a statistic that should be magnified with the Stafford-Johnson connection.

I also really love the over in this game, which is at 47 right now. Detroit has covered the over in every single game they have played. Chicago has covered it 50%, it'll be 60% by the end of the night. This week, the Over is 9-3 in the NFL. I see that trend continuing tonight.

Cutler's ex girlfriend is going to get railed out hard by Suh and Megatron after this game. Shit that would make everyone in the entire town of Laguna Beach cringe. Maybe call up LC and make this a good ol' fashion orgy. Yeah, I used to occasionally  watch Laguna Beach. What of it.

LIONS -6

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PICKS WEEK 5

Went 2-2 today in the NFL and I'm so embarrassed. From the bottom of my heart I apologize. We don't settle for mediocrity here at Lock City Sports and going .500 is inexcusable. Pathetic. Feels like I went 2-10 after the smackdown the 49ers put on the Bucs. Week 5 was trap week. I guess
I survived but not to the standards I hold myself too. Good thing were gonna make it up tonight.

1) Green Bay -6 at Atlanta. O/U 53.

Packers are on a roll and Atlanta seems like they are eehhh these days. Icing on the cake was watching the Bucs---the team that beat Atlanta--- get smacked by a shitty NFC West team today. Packers will smoke them. This game will go over the 53 points since both teams have covered the over in 75% of their games. On turf and in the dome I would expect more of the same. After I hit these two bets, we will go 4-2 for the day and call it a moral victory, having survived Trap Week on top. No time for pics of hot chicks, it's go time.

PACKERS -6

NFL PICKS WEEK 5

Every week there are 4 games that I love. This week is more of the same. I care about all of you, I mean it. So please bet these games because I want everyone to prosper like I inevitably will.

1) Tampa Bay +2.5 at San Francisco

I really can't believe that Tampa Bay is the underdog considering they have a noticeably better team than the 49ers. Probably has to do with SF upsetting Philly last week, but I ain't buying that shit. Tampa Bay will go to SF and mash some heads this Sunday, and the fact that they are GETTING 2.5 is going to seal the deal. Niners suck, don't last weeks game fool you. Tampa has exceptionally better quarterback play and you can make an argument that they have better players at just about every single offensive position.

TAMPA BAY +2.5

2) San Diego -4 at Denver

The only problem with the Chargers is they always play down to their competition. Week in and week out they seem to win or lose by a touchdown, regardless if they are playing New England or Kansas City. This week I think they break that trend. Love the Chargers here to demolish the Broncos. The Broncos are so shitty, maybe even the worst team in the NFL. Chargers win this game easily, by at least 10 points, probably more. Give the 4 points to those lowly Broncos, it'll be a fantastic decision.

SAN DIEGO -4

3) Cincinnati +1.5 at Jacksonville

Yo real talk: Bengals are much better than anyone thought. This season they are 3-1 Against The Spread, while the Jags are only 1-3 ATS. Love Bengals here to demolish the Jags, I just don't think they will be able to keep up with the Bengals on either side of the ball. Forget the ATS stats for a second, the Jaguars are the favorite. I repeat, the Jaguars are the favorite. I think Vegas must have taken like 11 Quaaludes before putting out the spread on this game because no way should the Jags be the favorite. Take the 1.5 points and bust a nut when the Bengals win by 10.

CINCINNATI +1.5

4) New Orleans -6.5 at Carolina

Been listening to a lot of analysts and sports radio talk show hosts and it seems like everyone loves Carolina for the upset here. Really? Like ok, I get that Cam Newton is playing very well and the Saints pass defense hasn't played up to its expectations this season but...really? Panthers? You guys don't think Drew Brees just goes OFF on the Panthers D? You don't think Sproals busts out one of those patented 70 yard TD runs where he slips and slides his way past everyone? I do. I really do. I don't care if Newton puts up 400 yards and 3 TDs because Brees will have 420 yards and 5 TDs. I'll easily front the Panthers a touchdown in this one. If you side with the analysts picking the Panthers here, feel free. When you go 3-1 and this is the only game you missed in your parlay, I'll be there for you. Just kidding go fuck yourself. Take the Saints or get the fuck out.

NEW ORLEANS -6.5

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKS FOR FRIDAY/SATURDAY

After checking out these spreads for this weekend, I only really like 3 of these games. Spreads are too wild in some of these games for me to confidently pick. But either way, you take these 3 games, you'll make some money this weekend.

1) Boise St at Fresno St O/U 58.5

The spread is like 21.5 right now, don't love it. Never know how Fresno St is going to come out in front of the home crowd and if the last 3 Thursday night games have shown us, never count out the home team. I'm still in shock that the over/under is only at 58.5. That is absolutely ridiculous, gotta expose that spread tonight. Boise averages 36.5 points a game, Fresno averages 30.6. Both teams have decent defensive statistics, especially Boise, but those numbers are inflated by the lack of legit offenses these teams have faced. Both teams will score 40 tonight, no doubt. These WAC games are always shootouts and I expect to see more of the same tonight.

OVER 58.5

2) Florida at LSU -13.5

If there is one thing I've learned so far this season, NEVER bet against LSU. I think, dating back to like 2007, every time I've bet LSU they have won or covered. Crazy. Saturday should be more of the same. Florida's QB Brantley is out and they got some schmuck filling in for him. Florida has incredible speed with Demps and Rainey but without the passing game, Florida won't be able to set up the run. Not against LSU. No way. Best defense in the country. Got 4 future NFL players in the secondary. I honestly don't know how Florida will be able to keep this close. I like the fact that Jordan Jefferson is back too. He won't be starting at QB, at least not yet, but he will come in on certain packages and mind-fuck the Florida defense. 13.5 is a lot of points to give, but at home LSU should be able to win this game by at least 2 touchdowns.

LSU -13.5

3) Michigan at Northwestern +7.5

Most of you are going to hate this pick. I understand it does't look sexy but you're gonna have to trust me on this one. This is Michigan's first game on the road this year and I think they could struggle to get into their comfort zone. Also, this is Northwestern's 2nd home game this season, the first meaningful one they have played and I expect all their nerdy ass fans to be studying cheering their asses off. Northwestern is pretty good this year people. Last Saturday they went on the road at #22 Illinois and lost by a fieldgoal in overtime. Illinois has a pretty similar offense to Michigan in the sense that they too have a QB who can fly. I understand that no one in the country is comparable to Denard Robinson but they have been preparing to face a running QB for two weeks in a row now. That plus the homefans on their side could make this the upset pick this weekend. The smart pick would be to take the points here and go with Northwestern. Your gut is going to be telling you to pick Michigan. Ignore your instincts and listen to mine.

Sexiest chick at Northwestern. #stereotype

NORTHWESTERN +7.5

MLB Playoffs Game 5 Pick

Just heard that this game 5 tonight at Yankee Stadium is the first time since 2004 that the Yanks have hosted a "do-or-die" game. That just blew my mind. Anyway, this game is going to be incredible. If you are a Yankee fan. Despite the fact that Nova is a young buck, he seems to have the poise and confidence to be able to pitch a big spot, so far the biggest game of the season for the Yanks. Love that Nova is getting a full rest here too and not pitching on 3 days rest. With a full rest, Nova is 9-0 with a 2.3 era. Thats INCREDIBLE. Thats the fucking shit I'm talking about. Its stats like that that make picking these games no brainers. Locks. Absolute locks. No way the Yankees are fucking losing this game. No way whatsoever. Sorry haters, but Doug Fister will get rocked tonight and go back to doing porn. Not sure if he ever did porn, but with that name, he fucking could. Except the fact that I bet he has a smaller dick than Jimmy Leyland. Anyway, lets get back to the game..

I have one of those feelings that all of the following will happen:

1) Cano will have at least 1 extra base hit tonight

2) Arod will have a MONSTER game. Just got one of those feelings. 3-4, 2 doubles and 4 rbis.

3) Granderson will have a clutch RBI towards the end of the game.

Coincidence that these 3 things are also prop bets? Jump on these, man. It's too easy. Yankees win this game by 4 runs. BOOM.

Let Me Just Say Something

Nothing fires me up more than when people bet against me. Or just flat out pick the opposite of my games. Do I find it disrespectful? Not at all. Is it annoying? Absolutely not. I just feel bad for those people.

And you know the type. The type that tells their girlfriend that he can't take her out to dinner this week, bad week in the office. Bullshit. You just thought you know more than me about sports betting and fell flat on your fucking face.

Or the bastard that calls mommy and tells her he needs to move back in for a couple months because he lost the rent money. Hey dude, she knows. I told her while I was plowing her.

So for the future, if you want to be those types of people, by all means go ahead. Ignore the research. Ignore my instincts. Go with what you think is right. Because it's people like you that keep bookies in business.

And don't worry about me, I'll be fine. How could I not be? I win. I win a lot.

Keep up losers.

Really!?

I get that the Giants are hot. I get that the Jets have lost 2 straight. But are these spreads serious!? Are these essentially the same type of bets here? These spreads are the dumbest things I've ever witnessed in my life. And I've seen some dumb fucking shit.

As a (biased) Jets fan, I am absolutely appalled by this. The Jets are getting the same amount of points against their bitter rivals, who they took 2 out of 3 last year, as the Seahawks are getting against the fucking Giants!?

As always, my picks for the NFL come Saturday, but holy shit. Just know that my brain is moving a thousand miles a minute and I cannot wait to expose these stupid shitbag spreads like this. Can't wait to make more money this weekend.

On a side note. Lockcitysports has hit the 60 win mark in under a month. If you are following, you are smart. If you are not, than you are a dumb pussy. And I hate you.

Tuesday MLB Playoff Picks 10/4

We're betting winning all 4 games today/tonight, I am 100% certain that these will hit. Lets get paid.

1) Texas +1.5 at Tampa Bay

Honestly, I don't know what to make of the Rays. Sure they are hot right now, and everyone knows momentum is key down the stretch, but I'm not sold. Quite frankly, the Rangers are just the flat out better team, and actually are HOTTER than the Rays. Rangers were 9-1 in their last ten to close out the season, but that gets forgotten because the Rays pulled off an absolute miracle to make the playoffs. This game is in Tampa but I don't think that will matter at all considering no one in Tampa even knows they have a professional baseball team. The whole fan base is retired Yankee fans. I can't see the Rays winning this one, and by the end of the day, the Rangers will be the first team to advance to the ALCS.

This slut will be doing lines off Hamilton's dick by 9pm

RANGERS +1.5

2) Philadelphia at St. Louis +1.5

I get it, everyone loves the Phillies. Can't blame you, their staff is dirty. Not gonna argue there. However, HOWEVER, the Phils absolutely stumbled into the playoffs, I know they didn't need to win those games, but thats no way to enter the postseason. They got swept by the Nationals a week before the season started. There is no excuse for that. With Hamels on the mound, I love the Cardinals chances tonight. I understand that Hamels was good in the playoffs that one time. I understand. But I love this matchup for King Pujols and Matt Holliday tonight against this lefty. I'll take the 1.5 runs, but I could honestly see the Cards just flat out winning this one at home. Plus, Jamie Garcia is no schmuck. He's had 2 starts against the Phils this season, pitching 15 innings and giving up just 1 run. His career against them is 2-1, 1.20 era, holding them to a .178 batting average. If you can't do the math, find the nearest Asian and have him do it for you. Stats don't lie. Cards all day.

CARDINALS +1.5

3) Milwaukee -1.5 at Arizona

Arizona is really thin in the rotation once you get passed Ian Kennedy, and I'm not sure Josh Collmenter can contain the big bats of the Brewers. Not sure giving ANY team a run and a half is that wise, so I might just moneyline this, you should too. But I love Shaun Marcum this year. The best part is, this cat is absolutely lights out on the road. He is 5-4, 4.81 era at home compared to 8-3, 2.21 on the road this season. This guy is a gamer and will get this team into the NLCS tonight. Start loading the clubhouse with champagne.

BREWERS -1.5 or -144 ml

4) New York +1.5 at Detroit

The grand finale of my picks, I am so fired up for this one. So many story lines here. Former high school teammate of mine goes up against the most inconsistant pitcher in the Yankees long and storied history. As much as I like to see Porcello succeed, he is NOT built for a big game like this. Not yet at least. The guys is only 22 years old and I think he folds under pressure against the Yanks lineup tonight. Yeah I said it. I mean, Verlander was absolutely disgusting last night and the Bombers still put up 4 against him. They will definitely get to Porcello for twice that many tonight. Of course there is the scary question mark.. AJ Fucking Burnett. I gotta be honest, I've hated on him all year but I really feel like tonight AJ comes out and gives you one of those "where-the-fuck-have-you-been-all-season" type of performances. He's going to be getting fired up, pounding his chest, yelling after a huge strikeout to end an inning, which only fuels his confidence and makes him as productive as possible. If he gets in trouble early, Hughes probably comes out of the bullpen and bails him out. Even if AJ gives up 6 through 5 innings, the Yanks will put up enough runs against Porcello to pick up their boy. You guys should take the spread here, I, however, will be moneylining the shit out of this. Go big or go home. #AJBurnasty

Sunday Night Football Week 4 Picks

Jets spread moved to 5?! Pshh done. That's a lot of points to get from a team that got crushed by Tennessee. I know jets are coming off a bad loss, but Rex, Bart, and company will be FIRED UP and unaffected by the irrelevant Ravens crowd. Plus Ravens and Jets both have holes in their defenses, love the over here. Ravens are 3-0 covering the over, Jets are 2-1 for those that were wondering.

Cant upload sexy slutty pictures of gorgeous Jets whores from the iPhone I'm sorry.

Jets +5
OVER 43.5

NFL Picks Week 4

Sorry for the delay of this post, most of the games I took are just about at halftime. Tweeted it at around 11am which is why you should follow the twitter account if you don't already. @LockCitySports.

Detroit ain't looking good right now, down 17-3 in the second. But if we have learned anything from this season so far, its that the Lions can come back from being down big with no problems, and Dallas has a ton of trouble keeping a lead. So I'm not too worried.

Washington looks good so far.

New Orleans looks fine, should be able to pull away and cover pretty easily.

There is still time to bet the Pats -4.5 against Oakland, and the OVER 55 total points. Both the Pats and Raiders have covered the OVER in every single game so far, so I'm just gonna say its going to be difficult to imagine both of them hitting the under today against eachother. And I also think that Brady is about to go OFF on Oakland. Love the spread, love the over.

While Brady is going off on Oakland, I'm about to go off on Gisele. Give me 20 minutes..

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKS FOR SATURDAY 10/1

Thank God its Friday. Baseball playoffs start tonight which is honestly amazing. So happy they are starting this thing right away and not waiting a week. Picks for tonights game will be posted later. For now I want to get my college picks on the board so you guys can place your bets today.

There are 4 games that I feel really confident about this week. I'm fucking en fuego on Thursday nights and I'm hoping to bring that momentum and general wizardry of predicting college games into this Saturday's games. Some great matchups this week in the SEC and ACC but I am going to stay away from some of the big matchups because I don't love the spreads. Here are my picks:

1) Texas Tech at Kansas OVER/UNDER 66.5

Anyone who watched college football knows these two schools score a shit ton of points and play zero defense. Although 66.5 sounds like a lot, I'm guessing it will be at 45 by HALFTIME. This is a fucking lock. Texas Tech has covered the over in all of their games this season. Kansas has covered the over in all of their games this season. This is the perfect storm. If you don't take this game you are either a) retarded or b) don't like money. Do the right thing. Lock it up.

OVER 66.5

2) Toledo at Temple OVER/UNDER 50

Couldn't be more opposite to the game above. Neither of these teams score that many points. I know Temple went off on Maryland but that was a fluke and a half. Toledo and Temple both have covered the under in every single one of their games so far this season. This game should be a 21-14 game and the under should be a good pick here. Not gonna argue against stats. If a virgin walks into a bar and he has gotten laid 0% of his life, I'm going to bet that he doesn't get laid that night either. Same thing with this game, if neither team has covered the over this season, I'm going to bet that the trend continues on Saturday.

UNDER 50

3) Air Force at Navy -3.5

These games are always closer than you think, and I know Navy is really hard to defend against but Air Force for whatever reason always plays tough in these inter-military games. Gotta be honest though, I think Navy is really fucking good this year, having almost upset South Carolina earlier this season. Navy is at home and the place should be rockin'. Most importantly, Air Force is 0-3 ATS this season while Navy is 3-0 ATS. Like, how could you take Air Force? Lets go with Navy and get paid.

NAVY -3.5

4) Georgia Tech -10 at NC State

NC State blows. No other way to describe them. Got demolished by an average Cincinnati team last Thursday while Georgia Tech leads the nation in just about every offensive category. 10 point spread on this is nothing, I'd take it at 14 to be honest. Georgia Tech will easily cover this and will make it rain, probably drop 40something against the Wolfpack. Stat time: Georgia Tech is 3-0 this season ATS, while NC State is 0-4. Stats don't lie. Smart bets win. Winning gets you money. Money gets you strippers and drugs. Strippers and drugs get you a motherfuckin good time. So transitive property clearly demonstrates that smart bets correlate to a good time.

GEORGIA TECH -10

NFL BETTING CHEAT SHEET

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PICK

#16 South Florida at Pittsburgh +3

I don't get it. I don't understand it one bit. How is South Florida #16 in the country? Because they beat an overrated and under-enthused Notre Dame team week 1? Or was it the fact that they beat Ball State? Or maybe it was game where the beat up on poor little Florida A&M. Wait I know, it was definitely the win against UTEP where they only won because of two 4th quarter touchdowns to seal it. Maybe a combination of all 4 wins made them the #16 team in college football. I don't buy it, I don't get it.

Pittsburgh has lost two very tough games in a row, a nailbiter against Notre Dame in which they lost 15-12, and a loss against Iowa in which they were up 27-10 going into the 4th quarter. And Iowa is better than any team USF has played. What that stat tells me is that Pitts main problem is closing games, an issue that should be fixed with the enthusiasm of the home crowd on a Thursday night.

And like I said last week before Cincinnati absolutely demolished NC State at home, Thursday nights in college are absolutely ruthless---like mixing Friday and Saturday into one giant fuck fest. These kids are going to be absolutely hammered and loud as shit, in the hopes of knocking off a ranked team at home.

For those that love Against The Spread statistics, lets break it down:

1. USF is 1-6 ATS in their last 7, and 0-6 on Thursdays.

2. Pitt is 10-1 in their last 11 following a straight up loss, and 12-4 in their last 16 Big East games.

3. USF is 2-5 ATS as the road favorite in their last 7.

Can someone actually make an honest case for USF? Me neither. Lets go Pitt.

Pittsburgh +3

MLB for 9/28

I gotta be honest, at this point in the season, I wouldn't consider ANY game a lock. Its too hard to decide who is trying, who isn't trying, who needs the win, who is going to collapse, etc. So I can't honestly say there are any locks tonight. Except these three games. Get out a pen and write these down.

1) Phillies at Braves -1.5

I know the Braves have been sucking more cock than Kim Kardashian at a rap concert, but Lowe ain't pitching tonight. Lowe has something against me and has lost 5 straight games just so that he can see the Lock City Sports empire crumble. Fortunately, our good buddy Tim Hudson has the ball tonight for Atlanta and has a 2.39 era at home. Even more appealing, he doesn't have to go up against Lee or Halladay, but rather Joe "Shmo" Blanton. Braves should be able to rip at least 5 or 6 off that joke, and I fully expect Hudson to give up 1 maybe 2 runs tonight in a must-win game in front of the home crowd. Hate giving runs to the Phils, but giving a run and a half ain't bad considering the pitching matchup tonight.

Braves -1.5

2) Cardinals -1.5 at Houston

Just like Atlanta, it doesn't really look like St. Louis wants this wildcard either. Fell behind the 56-104 Astros 5-0 in the 4th inning, luckily won the game, but just didn't look sharp. But they have their ace on the mound tonight too, Chris Carpenter. Gotta expect him to come out there and get the job done. He's going against Brett Myers who has won his last 4 starts, but I don't find him nearly as threatening as his wife does. #wifebeater

Get a load of this fucking wiener. Clever sign though. Go Cards

Cardinals -1.5

3) Boston -1.5 at Baltimore

Quite frankly I am going to bet against Boston until they prove me wrong. Last night they may have won but sure as shit didn't cover, thanks to their shaky bullpen. Love how the O's are playing these days--loose and alive--and they should be able to cover this spread, perhaps even win. I know Lester is Boston's ace but the last time he acted like an ace I'm pretty sure the NFL lockout was still taking place. (Did that rhyme?)  He's also going on 3 days rest which won't be in his favor tonight. Do I feel good about this game? Eh..not really. I feel motherfucking great. Lock this up and lets make the Red Sox collapse that much sweeter.

And then we go ham

Orioles +1.5

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Does ANYONE want this NL wildcard!?

Cards go down 5-0 going into the 4th, just tied it at 5. Braves are in the bottom of the 9th down 7-0 to the Phils.

Hey Derek Lowe, did I try to fuck your wife or something? Are you doing this to spite me? Listen I know my baseball record isn't spectacular this month, but lets just totally buttfuck this season to spite me, great idea bud. Doesn't it seem like they are losing on purpose at this point so LockCitySports.com falls on its face?

Fear not. Derek Lowe can't sink this ship. This is the TITANIC! Ok, horrible analogy, but if this bitch is gonna sink, by all means I am NOT letting Lowe be the iceberg.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Let's see if the Orioles can make this shit interesting.

In the mean time, lets take a look at what Derek Lowe looks like these days:

That my friends, is the most recent mugshot of Derek Lowe.

MLB Picks for 9/27

Shits getting wild here as we wind down the baseball season. Two games stuck out to me that I cannot wait to bet on. Get fired up people.

1) Phillies at Braves +1.5

Oswalt is going up against Derek Lowe in a game that the Braves NEED to win in order to keep their wildcard lead with Cardinals. Philly does not need this game at all but the Braves are clinging on life support and cannot afford to lose this. Love the fact that the Braves get a 1.5 runs too. Lock. That. Shit. Up.

Braves +1.5

2) Boston at Baltimore +1.5

This Red Sox collapse makes my dick tingle, I love it so much. This is Baltimore's world fucking series tonight and they will do whatever it takes to make the Sawks fans suffer tonight. Plus Bedard has been so incredibly inconsistant, especially pitching in big games that this could be the night that puts the Red Sox to sleep once and for all. If the Orioles were getting 1.5 then I would say this is an absolute lock. Too bad they are the favorite though. Oh wait, they are the underdog and the O's are GETTING a run and a half? Pshh... lock it up you savages. Lets get paid tonight and drink the the Red Sox collapse all but being finalized tonight.

Baltimore +1.5

Tuesday Morning Quarterback: NFL Recap Week 3

Things I took from the NFL games for Week 3

ATL @ TB

- Huge win for TB defending home turf against a tough Falcons team. TB is going to be one of those young squads that will play to their competition--whether good or bad. For ATL, they need to get Michael Turner going or they will never make it out alive in that division.

NYG @ PHI

- Not really sure how the Giants pulled this one off. Oh wait yes I do. Vick was taken out on two crucial drives that eventually lead to Giants touchdowns. Gotta say though, the Giants D looked pretty impressive, lets see if they can keep it going in Arizona this week. As any Giants fan will tell you, it would not be shocking if they get caught in a trap game in Arizona following a huge win in Philly.

NYJ @ OAK

- Cromartie had more flags than he has kids (almost, lets not get carried away here..) and a very suspect running D cost the Jets in this one. He had one stupid, stupid pick but can't really blame Sanchez in this one, dude was a gamer. I think this one just comes down to the fact that maybe Oakland is a little bit better than we think, and the Jets might be a little worse than we thank. Either that or the fact that the Jets didn't give two fucks about Oakland and were looking ahead to Baltimore and New England.

PIT @ IND

- Pit should be embarrassed by the way they played. If they can't blow out Indy, then all I can say is OVERRATED.

GB @ CHI

- For fucks sake, the Bears suck. Green Bay didn't even play all that great and fucked their shit up. Jay Cutler is on the list of Top 5 Bitchiest Girls in America, slightly ahead of ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavalieri.

ARI @ SEA

- Everyone in that division sucks. Not going to waste my time or yours writing about this game.

BAL @ STL

- Gotta love Baltimore's consistancy! Blow out Pit, get stomped by Tennessee, Blow out the Rams...see the pattern here...Go Jets?

KC @ SD

- No one plays down to their competition like San Diego. I don't get this one. I really don't. Why was this game even close? KC lost by a field goal? All I took from this game is San Diego is VERY vulnerable and must be missing Sproals real hard right about now.

NE @ BUF

- Well folks, the Pats are human. Still not sold on Buffalo though, should I be? I bet they still finish 6-10. Either way, look for the Pats to rebound like god damn Dennis Rodman on crack in their next game.

SF @ CIN

- Good effort by Bengals but Andy Dalton is a ginger and we all know that gingers don't have souls. Can't win without soul.

MIA @ CLE

- Miami is much worse than we anticipated and to be honest, I think Cleveland has a decent roster. I'm serious. Even without Hillis they manage to squeak out a 1 point victory! That's impressive. I bet they give Pittsburgh a VERY hard time, whenever they play them.

DEN @ TEN

- Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

DET @ MIN

- If Detroit can play well for an entire game, I could actually see them taking this division from Green Bay. I'm serious. As long as Stafford stays healthy and doesn't contract HIV from all the ass he's going to be getting the next few weeks, this team could really make some noise.

HOU @ NO

- Whoever has to play Houston in the playoffs is going have a very difficult time. They went pound for pound with the Saints, a phenomenal hometeam, and lost on the last drive. WITHOUT FOSTER. Its scary to think about how good they can be if they have him.

JAC @ CAR

- Rained a lot. Newton is blacker better than Gabbert. Thats all I took from that game.

WAS @ DAL

- Cowboys should have won that game easily. Phil Costa must have gotten fucked up at Bentleys before heading down to Dallas for that game because he was pitiful. I don't care if Redskins players were simulating snap counts, that kid cannot play. Romo finally won a playoff game though! Or just an ugly MNF game where their offense wasn't good enough to orchestrate a touchdown. Dallas will get crushed by Detroit next week.
