1) Boise St at Fresno St O/U 58.5
The spread is like 21.5 right now, don't love it. Never know how Fresno St is going to come out in front of the home crowd and if the last 3 Thursday night games have shown us, never count out the home team. I'm still in shock that the over/under is only at 58.5. That is absolutely ridiculous, gotta expose that spread tonight. Boise averages 36.5 points a game, Fresno averages 30.6. Both teams have decent defensive statistics, especially Boise, but those numbers are inflated by the lack of legit offenses these teams have faced. Both teams will score 40 tonight, no doubt. These WAC games are always shootouts and I expect to see more of the same tonight.
OVER 58.5
2) Florida at LSU -13.5
If there is one thing I've learned so far this season, NEVER bet against LSU. I think, dating back to like 2007, every time I've bet LSU they have won or covered. Crazy. Saturday should be more of the same. Florida's QB Brantley is out and they got some schmuck filling in for him. Florida has incredible speed with Demps and Rainey but without the passing game, Florida won't be able to set up the run. Not against LSU. No way. Best defense in the country. Got 4 future NFL players in the secondary. I honestly don't know how Florida will be able to keep this close. I like the fact that Jordan Jefferson is back too. He won't be starting at QB, at least not yet, but he will come in on certain packages and mind-fuck the Florida defense. 13.5 is a lot of points to give, but at home LSU should be able to win this game by at least 2 touchdowns.
LSU -13.5
3) Michigan at Northwestern +7.5
Most of you are going to hate this pick. I understand it does't look sexy but you're gonna have to trust me on this one. This is Michigan's first game on the road this year and I think they could struggle to get into their comfort zone. Also, this is Northwestern's 2nd home game this season, the first meaningful one they have played and I expect all their nerdy ass fans to be studying cheering their asses off. Northwestern is pretty good this year people. Last Saturday they went on the road at #22 Illinois and lost by a fieldgoal in overtime. Illinois has a pretty similar offense to Michigan in the sense that they too have a QB who can fly. I understand that no one in the country is comparable to Denard Robinson but they have been preparing to face a running QB for two weeks in a row now. That plus the homefans on their side could make this the upset pick this weekend. The smart pick would be to take the points here and go with Northwestern. Your gut is going to be telling you to pick Michigan. Ignore your instincts and listen to mine.
Sexiest chick at Northwestern. #stereotype
